We fell in love with Australian Labradoodles a couple of years ago. Labradoodles have proven to be the ideal family pet for us. My name is Judy and my husband's name is Steve. We live on the southside of Edmonton with our four children, ages 11, 9, 6 and 6. We currently have 3 doodles living with us.
We are registered breeders of Australian Labradoodles. We are members of the Australian Labradoodle Association of America and the Australian Labradoodle Club of America. We became members because dogs are our passion, and we believe in the importance of raising well-adjusted, healthy puppies.
Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up our family had a maltese poodle, Sam. When I began living on my own, I got my first dog, Jamie, a teacup poodle. Shortly after, I got Bailey, another poodle. Truman was our first doodle. We bought him almost 2 years ago. A few days after we picked up Truman, an opportunity to co-own Ruby with Carrie of Urban Doodles, was presented. I had been in touch with Carrie prior to getting Truman, and she approached me about co-owning Ruby. After some begging and pleading to my husband, Ruby came home to us shortly thereafter, much to the joy of our kids! When testing for Ruby was unsuccessful, we tried again with Sasha. Again, testing was unsuccessful. The disappointment was huge for me, my husband, and especially our kids. We had our hearts set on having puppies and twice in as many years, we were out of luck. Early this year, we decided to keep trying and approached Carrie with an offer to buy several of her dogs, and to create a potential partnership. She raises high quality, well adjusted dogs in the same family environment that we feel is so important. So begun the early stages of a new partnership.
After much deliberation, it was mutually decided that it would be best for us to proceed with our own business, rather than a partnership. Which brings us to where we are today.
We are super excited about our new venture, and are looking forward to our first litter of parti labradoodles from Dottie near the end of June, or early July.
We are dedicated to maintaining the high standards of testing, breeding and ethics that are the foundation for these dogs that we have fallen in love with, Australian Labradoodles.
