It's been a long time since i've posted so this might be a long one! Summer 2015 - that was a crazy one. But we had so much fun with all those puppies who have now found wonderful homes. We did keep a couple for ourselves though. This is Lexi, she is a daughter of Ana and Nash's 2015 litter. I had really hoped for a cream girl to keep but only had boys available so Lexi was the winner. And she is amazing. She has amazed us with her gentleness, tolerance, and all around amazing disposition. I'm not sure what her coat will do but really it doesnt matter! She has all of the best qualities of her parents. She will begin her health testing soon and will hopefully have some puppies in 2017. Lexi is living in an amazing guardian home with Chris and Sue, Owen and Breanne. Another example of hockey bringing dogs and people together lol. Rumor's GH is also an amazing family we me through hockey!
Just look at those eyes and that coat! This is Layla out of our summer litter with Gem and Murphy. Despite always being able to find the muddy parts of the yard, Layla is a fun loving girl, a quick learner and loves everyone. The kids are having so much fun having puppies in the house again, it's been awhile since we've kept a puppy for ourselves! Layla will also begin her testing soon and will hopefully be a mom in 2017!
This whole "L" theme was not planned lol. This is Doodlelanes Pocket Full of Sunshine AKA Luna! Luna is 15 months old now and came to us from Ontario. She has already passed all of her health testing and we may have puppies with her early in the the new year 2016. Luna has a super thick, soft, wavy fleece coat. She is SUPER athletic to go with her nice stocky build. She is such a versatile size and colour, I am excited to have Luna for our program. She has the most loving face and she always looks likes she's smiling-not so much in this picture so stay tuned for more pics of Luna lol!
Lucy and Fletcher have honeymooned again and puppies are due in just a couple of weeks. Their previous litters were so beautiful and how could they not be with these parents. Unless Lucy has a larger than usual litter, there are no puppies available, sorry.
Not a great pic of Midas but for now it's all i've got! Mitzy and Midas will honeymoon shortly. Mitzy should be in season any day now. Hopefully we have our first litter of Bernedoodles in early 2016. We are not accepting deposits until pregnancy is confirmed but we have started a waiting list. There is a bit of info on the website at http://davidsondoodles.com/coming-soon-bernedoodles.html including our current waiting list.
I'm working on a new website that is mobile friendly but it is taking me longer than i anticipated so i have updated our current website for now.
I think that's all I have for now!

All of our girls have been bred and we are anxiously awaiting the time when we can confirm pregnancy with ultrasound.
Piper and Cooper should be having puppies around July 1, 2015. These puppies will be mini - large mini size, weighing 20-30lbs. We are hoping for some nice reds and apricots from these two and possibly some black puppies.
Next up will be Ana and Nash. This couple has given us such gorgeous litters in the past, you don't want to miss out on this opportunity as this will be Ana's final litter before retirement. Ana has had very large litters in the past so we are expecting the same this time. Her puppies have been all different colors including cream, black, phantom, chocolate, sable, and red. Ana's puppies will be due around July 5, 2015. Visit our Pupparazzi page to see pics of their previous litters. Mitzy had a double honeymoon! We did insemination with a Bernese Mountain dog in the hopes of having our first litter of Bernedoodles. We then did a natural breeding the next day with our very own Murphy. So we may have Bernedoodles which will weigh about 40 lbs as adults and will be low to non-shedding. If Mitzy has labradoodles, they will be about 30-35lbs as adults and will be non shedding. Or we may get some of both! Yes that can happen with dogs! We will have to wait and see. Mitzy's puppies will be due around July 11, 2015. I will get a pic of Mitzy and Murphy up shortly but here's a pic of a bernedoodle in the meantime.Last but not least will be Gem and Murphy. Their last litter was so adorable - partis in black, chocolate and tan, solids in chocolate and cream with wavy fleece coats. We are hoping for something similar this time! Puppies will be medium sized, 30-40 lbs. We are planning to retire Murphy soon so we will be keeping a puppy from this litter. Gem's puppies are due around July 15th, 2015. Here's a pic of the happy couple!
So as pregnancies are confirmed, I will update the blog and FB! I have always tried not to have more than one litter at a time in the past, but when the females live together, their cycles tend to synchronize. So all the girls went into season relatively close together. It's a good thing it's summer and I'll have my kids to help with the puppies. It was a sad start to 2015, so we are looking forward to some puppy lovin!
We are accepting deposits on all of these litters. You can visit our Adoption page for information on how to adopt a Davidson Doodle. I'm hoping to have a page specifically dedicated to the Bernedoodles up on the website by the end of the week. Stay tuned!

When it rains it pours at Davidson Doodles! Piper and Cooper have honeymooned and will be having puppies around July 1st. (See previous blog post.) But that's not all that going on here...
Ana is in season now and will be bred one last time to Nash before she is retired. Ana and Nash have produced such gorgeous puppies for us in their previous litters. Have a look at our Pupparazzi page to see pics of their previous litters. The colors they produce are amazing including creams, chocolates, phantoms, sables....they have been stunning. We will be keeping at least one, possible 2 puppies, from this litter so save for our breeding program. We are accepting deposits for this as well as our other upcoming litters. Visit our Adoption page for information about adopting a Davidson Doodle.
And if 2 litters were not enough....Mitzy is also in season. We are planning to breed Mitzy to a stud to be named soon. We may have our first litter of Bernedoodles with Mitzy if timing works out. Bernedoodles are fun and athletic, great family dogs, loyal, and gentle. Mitzy is an F2 labradoodle. Once she is bred to a Bernese Mountain dog, they will have bernedoodles! As always, we remain committed to producing healthy, well adjusted, family raised puppies to welcome into your family. Even when introducing a new breed such as a BMD, we adhere to the same standard of health testing as we do in our labradoodles in order to produce only the healthiest dogs possible. We will be updating our website soon to incorporate new information about bernedoodles, pricing, etc.
This is a picture of a bernedoodle puppy compliment of my good friend Tammie at Rocky Mountain Bernedoodles and Black Canyon Labradoodles. As you can see they look very similar to a labradoodle, especially the black phantom labradoodles that are so gorgeous. Because these are early generation dogs, the coats are less predictable so can be light to non-shedders. We expect Mitzy's puppies to be medium sized, probably in the 40lb range.
Now with all these girls in season, it's only a matter of time before Gem is in season again. We plan to breed Gem on her next heat to Murphy again. We will be keeping at least one boy from their upcoming litter so that Murphy can enjoy his retirement with his guardian family.
Lots going on!!! Stay tuned for more updates on honeymoons!

Piper and Cooper have honeymooned! We are so excited to meet the puppies from this adorable couple. Piper is our extremely happy and friendly mini girl. Everyone who meets Piper falls instantly in love with her. It's hard to resist her gorgeous red colour and white socks! This will be our first litter from Cooper. He is the newest boy to join Davidson Doodles and he came to us all the way from sunny California. He is a small medium boy with the softest coat you will ever feel. He is full of energy and has a super fun-loving personality. These puppies will be amazing and are due around July 1, 2015. We are accepting deposits on this litter as well as our upcoming litters. Here's a picture of the happy couple.

It's been a busy few weeks here at Davidson Doodles. Lots of news and updates....
Piper had her puppies on Dec. 29, 2014. Unfortunately only 2 survived but they are gorgeous and doing really well. It's unclear what happened to the puppies that did not survive. We did some tests to try to determine a cause but have not been able to narrow it down. It is likely that Piper developed an infection that she passed to her puppies while they were developing but still not sure....thankfully her 2 puppies are doing great. They have done well since the beginning - they were a decent size compared to the puppies that passed which were very small and just not strong enough. While this has never happened to me before, I have seen it happen to other breeders and it is never easy on anyone including me, my kids and especially Piper. Here's a couple of pics of Pipers pups that were appropriately named Hope and Faith by my kids.
On January 9, Lucy delivered 6 beautiful chunky puppies. Just like her last litter, she was a star and had such a nice easy delivery. She had 4 boys and 2 girls. There is even one Tri-color puppy. This is a pup that is parti and phantom, so he has white and chocolate parti markings, but he also has tan phantom markings. We may have to keep him! There is also a chocolate phantom, a red girl, and some solid chocolate puppies. Lucy's puppies are 11 days old now and I will try to get some individual pics done soon. Here's a pic of Lucy and Fletcher's new family.
Lucy and Piper's puppies will be mini sized, weighing about 20-25 lbs as adults.
Gem and Murphy's puppies are due in just over 2 weeks. It looks like she will be having a smaller litter based on her ultrasound. We will do an xray closer to her due date and hopefully get a better head count at that time. Gem's pups will be medium sized and I expect some partis, chocolate and cream, just like her last litter.
In between all of this crazy puppy stuff, my family managed to escape to Cancun for a week. We just returned yesterday. All of the dogs and puppies were in my sister's very capable hands here at our house. If you are waiting on a reply to an email you sent, it should be coming tonight. Sorry for the delay.
I think that's all I have to report! There are still some spaces available for Gem's litter and possibly for Lucy or Piper's litter but we won't know for sure until the time comes for our families to start picking their puppies. You can find all the information about adopting a Davidson Doodle on our webpage at http://davidsondoodles.com/adopting-a-davidson-doodle.html. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions!

I wanted to take this opportunity to wish all of our doodle friends and family a safe and happy holiday season. It's going to get a little crazy around here pretty soon with three litters of puppies on the way! Piper is doing great, getting very chubby. We should be meeting her puppies in about 10 days and we are so excited to see them. Piper is the happiest dog you will ever meet and we are expecting the same from her pups. Lucy's pups are due around Jan. 10, 2015. Lucy and Fletcher's previous litter was pure perfection so we are expecting more perfect pups from this couple. Gem's puppies will be due in early February 2015. She was bred to Murphy again. Their previous litter was a pretty rainbow of colours with three different colours of partis, solid chocolate and solid cream. It's too soon to confirm Gem's pregnancy but hopefully things go as planned.
We are still accepting deposits, since we will have a house full of puppies. For more information about adopting a Davidson Doodle, please visit our Adoption Page. Medium sized puppies will be due on Feb. 3, 2015. This couple had such a gorgeous litter last year. There were partis in black, tan, and chocolate, as well as a solid chocolate and solid cream. All had gorgeous fleece coats. These pups will be ready for their forever homes in early April, the perfect time to bring home a puppy! You can see pics of their previous litter here. For information on adopting a Davidson Doodle, please visit our Adoption page, or email us at email@example.com.

After having such a gorgeous litter last summer, we knew we had to repeat! Lucy and Fletcher have honeymooned again and we will welcome another litter of puppies around January 10, 2015. Puppies will be mini sized, with fleece coats. Colors should be similar to the last litter which was chocolate (of course), chocolate and white parti, phantom and caramel. You can see pic of their previous litter at http://davidsondoodles.com/the-puparazzi-photos-from/lucy-and-fletcher-puppies/index.html. We can't wait to see more pups from this adorable couple. There is space available for this litter but we don't expect it to last long! If you are interested in adopting a Davidson Doodle, please visit our Adoption Page for more information. Or you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Its been a long wait, but good things come to those who wait! At last Piper has honeymooned with Prairie's Red Timber. Puppies will be born around Dec.31, 2014. I know where I'll be New Years Eve! Puppies will be mini size, with gorgeous red fleece coats with white markings. Piper is the happiest dog you will ever meet, super friendly and outgoing. Timber's calm demeanor and amazing red fleece coat will compliment Piper perfectly. Pregancy will be confirmed with ultrasound in about a months time. Fingers crossed everyone! For information about adopting a Davidson Doodle, you can visit our Adoption page. We are accepting deposits on this, as well as our upcoming litters.I
